This course will provide the participant with the necessary theoretical knowledge of proper aerial work platform operation. It is the first part of a two-part requirement to become a qualified aerial work platform operator.
- Become familiar with legal requirements set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable Regulations for Industrial Establishments
- Read and understand all limitations, warnings and operating procedures and operator’s responsibilities for maintenance of the equipment
- Understand and be familiar with the Operating Maintenance and Parts Manual and Operator’s Manual provided by the manufacturer for the specific make and model he or she will be using
